Neues zum Framework of Information Literacy
Wie Karen Williams, die ACRL Präsidentin, mitteilte, wurde das Framework of Information Literacy vom ACRL Board of Directors am 2.Februar 2015 als ein offizielles Dokument zur Informationskompetenz anerkannt. Die ACRL Standards der Informationskompetenz bleiben ebenfalls auf Weiteres gültig. Damit beginnt in der amerikanischen Hochschulbibliothekslandschaft ein Prozess, in der das Framework in der Praxis erprobt, angepasst und angewendet werden kann. Sharon Mader ist als als neue ACRL Visiting Program Officer for Information Literacy in den nächsten zwei Jahren damit beauftragt, diesen Prozess zu begleiten.
