October is National Information Literacy Awareness Month! Governors in 25 states and 1 US territory have issued such proclamations — see the NFIL news for more info as well as the 2013 article by Weiner, Jackman, & Prause, "Strategizing for public policy: The Information Literacy State Proclamation Project" in Public Services Quarterly 9(4): 284-99. The states to issue proclamations most recently are Vermont and Washington State!
